What Is Mobile Scaffolding?

Mobile scaffolding refers to a variety of supports erected at the construction site for workers to operate and solve vertical and horizontal transportation. It has the characteristics of simple assembly and disassembly, good bearing performance, and safe and reliable use. It has a rapid development speed. Mobile scaffolding is among the newest types of scaffolding. The mobile scaffold was successfully developed by the United States. By the early 1960s, Europe, Japan, and other countries had successively applied and developed such scaffolding. Since the late 1970s, China has introduced and used such scaffolding from Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries.

Mobile scaffolding

Mobile scaffolding, as a basic building facility, is widely used on construction sites of various sizes and plays a great supporting role. And its development process is quite long, from the imperfection at the beginning to the final step closer to perfection, has gone through a long process.
Classification of steel scaffolding
Scaffolds made of steel pipe materials currently used in China include fastener-type steel pipe scaffolding, bowl-type steel pipe scaffolding,
(1) Scaffolding of single-size steel pipes. It uses only one type of steel pipe, such as fastener-type steel pipe scaffolding, and only uses 48 × 3.5 electric welded steel pipes.
(2) Scaffolding with multiple specifications of steel pipes. It consists of two or more different types of steel pipes, such as a gate scaffold.
(3) Scaffolding based on steel pipes. That is, scaffolding composed mainly of steel pipes and supplemented by other steel rods, such as inside scaffolding with channel steel tops or bases, and scaffolding with steel plates.
Different types of engineering construction use different uses of scaffolding and formwork brackets. At present, most of the bridge support frames use bowl-shaped scaffolding, and some use door scaffolding. Most of the floor scaffolds used in the construction of main structures use fastener scaffolds. The vertical distance of the scaffolding pole is generally 1.2 ~ 1.8m; the horizontal distance is generally 0.9 ~ 1.5m.

Mobile scaffolding trends

The general trend of scaffolding is to move towards lightweight and high-strength structures, standardization, assembly and multi-functionality.

Mobile scaffolding material

Materials are developed from wood and bamboo to metal products; assembly methods will gradually adopt assembly methods to minimize or eliminate parts such as fasteners and bolts; and materials will also gradually adopt thin-walled steel and aluminum alloy products. Improve the environmental protection requirements of scaffolding, set up a professional scaffolding contracting company, etc.
