Generally used for joints of machinery, instruments, pipes and building components to prevent external dust, water, gas, etc. from entering the inside of the mechanism, or to prevent leakage of internal media, so as to achieve the purpose of sealing, sound insulation, heat insulation, insulation and buffering. According to the form, it can be divided into liquid sealants (such as hot melt sealants). Liquid sealants can be divided into solvent-free, solvent-based and emulsion-based. According to the main material, it can be divided into silicone rubber sealant, polyurethane sealant, butyl sealant and polysulfide sealant.
