What is Safety Equipment?
Safety equipment refers to the equipment (equipment) and equipment used to reduce, prevent and eliminate hazards in the production and business activities of enterprises (units) to control dangerous and harmful factors within a safe range. In the modern era of highly urbanized human beings, safety equipment is particularly important to protect the safety of human activities. The Fukushima nuclear accident has raised the importance of safety equipment to an unprecedented level. A tiny flaw in a security device could cause an unprecedented human disaster.
- Safety equipment mainly refers to machinery and equipment installed and used in order to protect the safety of employees and other participants in production and operation activities, to prevent production safety accidents, and to be used for rescue when production safety accidents occur, such as self-rescuers used in mines, Fire extinguishing equipment and various safety detection instruments, such as safety detection systems, gas
- Production and business units that use safety equipment must perform regular maintenance, maintenance, and regular inspections to ensure the normal operation and good state of safety equipment, and play the role of ensuring safety. Records of regular maintenance, upkeep and regular inspections should be made. In order to clarify the responsibility for maintenance, maintenance, and testing of safety equipment, and to strengthen the sense of responsibility of relevant personnel in the production and operation unit, and to urge them to carefully perform maintenance, maintenance, and testing of safety equipment in accordance with requirements, this article also stipulates The situation should be recorded and signed by the relevant personnel: the content of the record should generally include the time, place, personnel, and safety equipment names of the regular maintenance, maintenance, and regular testing, the results of the maintenance, maintenance, and testing, and problems found And how the problem was handled.
- Records are a witness to the development of related work, important traceability information, and evidence of the performance of obligations by relevant units. Relevant personnel who need to sign the records, including technicians directly engaged in maintenance, maintenance, and inspection, and related production safety management personnel. When necessary, the principal responsible person of the production and operation unit shall also sign. [1]
- 1.Platforms and ladders
- Safe access shall be provided for locations where frequent inspections and maintenance are required. At the inspection and maintenance department, if there are moving objects that endanger safety, protective covers must be installed. Covers or safety guards shall be provided at openings where people may enter and there is a danger of falling.
- (1) Platforms and railings should be designed where inspection, maintenance and personnel pass are needed.
- (2) The width of the passing platform should not be less than 700mm, and the vertical clearance should generally not be less than 1800mm; it does not hinder normal movement.
- (3) Some open edges of the platform shall be provided with safety barriers, and the height of the protective railings shall be higher than 1050mm; at positions higher than 10m, the height of the railings shall be higher than 1100mm.
- 2.Seismic reinforcement
- (1) The supports and hangers of large-scale gas pipelines should be fastened and reliable, and should be replaced in time when there is serious corrosion.
- (2) When the gas pipeline passes through the wall or floor, the outer diameter of the pipeline should have a certain gap with the wall or floor. A pipe shall be installed at the place where the pipeline passes through the wall of the explosion-proof workshop, and the soft refractory material shall be filled in the gap between the pipes.
- (3) Pipes passing through the roof should be fixed; when it is 3m higher than the roof, tensioning devices should be provided.
- (4) The moving equipment and the motor should be installed on the same foundation. There should be a supporting frame at the bottom of the fan housing or at the population. When the ventilator is placed on the shock-absorbing foundation, there must be fixed connection facilities between the shock-absorbing foundation and the floor.
- (5) When the inlet and outlet of the moving equipment is a soft connection, the inlet and outlet pipes must be fixed. The dust removal pipe shall not float on the support, and fixed pipe clamps shall be provided.
- (6) The equipment shall not be floated on the floor, and fixed measures shall be provided. The basic design of large and medium-sized equipment should consider wind, snow and seismic loads.
- (7) The actuators on pipeline valves and equipment must be stable. [2]
