What is upcycling?

UPCYCLING is a process in which one -off or discarded items are re -adjusted to make them valuable, useful or simply aesthetically pleasant. UPCYCLING is designed to work in opposition to consumer culture and encourage people to think about new and innovative ways to use things instead of just buying new consumer goods. For the environment, it also benefits the environment by promoting re -use, whenever possible. For example, grain processors often burn waste materials such as hearing and stems to power their plants, eliminating waste and streamline their operations. The UPcycling concept for the average consumer has been popularized in the 2002 book, Cradle to Cradle , which was designed to make people re -evaluate the way they use and relate to things.

Amples upcycling, from building houses outside completely discarded materials to converting plastic bags into a yarn for knitting. TOEven the upcycle, which is part of attraction, can participate in any level they feel comfortable with, from immersion to folders to save useful things that reuse containers rather than thrown or throw them.

Within the philosophy of upcycling, everything has a potential use or value, even if it could take some creative thinking to find out what this use is. UPCYCLING people create a minimum amount of garbage and reduce their environmental impact by consuming less, thus putting less pressure on the manufacturer and manufacturer.

In some cases, the entire UPCYCLERS communities are created, and people trade expertise, goods and materials. For example, a knitter can cause carrying bags, baths and other friends from things such as shredded plastic bags, sheets and rags and exchange these objects for useful things like librariesBuilt from fruit crates or jewelry from discarded bottles.

UPCYCLING is essentially "re -use" in "reduction, reuse, recycling". Many people find that as soon as UP -cycling starts, it is hard to stop and new ideas for upcycling are constantly coming to mind. In large communities, upcycling centers and business sites have appeared, allowing people to expand UPCYCLING away from home and turn it into a viable way of doing business in addition to personal philosophy.
