What are mydriatics?

mydriatic is a type of eye drugs used to expand the pupil. They are used during eye examinations and in the treatment of some eye disorders such as cyitis, uveitis or irritis. Drugs can also be used before eye operations to allow access to lens, retina or optical nerve. After eye surgery, mydriatic can also be used to reduce the formation of scar tissue on the eye. These drugs can paralyze the muscles of the sphincter, which is the muscle of the iris, which is pulled on the pupil. Mydriatic can also cause the iris dilating muscle to stimulate, causing the pupil to enlarge.

The use of mydriatics involves assistance in testing and surgery and support for healing after surgery. In some cases, mydriatic drugs can be used as treatment methods. For example, the lazy eye can be treated with a mydriatic drug in a healthy eye, causing the other eye to function the adverse effects of mydriatics to see. People can also experience sting after drug application. Some patients may experience irritability and twitching of the eyelids.

There are also less common but serious side effects of mydriatics. These effects include confusion, high blood pressure or heart rate changes and an increase in eye pressure. Rash and itching in the skin around the eye are also less common side effects of mydriatic drugs.

heart rate changes often occur in infants and children exposed to mydriatics. Heart frequencies can become unusually high, leading to serious complications. If there is a history of any heart conditions, the use of mydriatic drugs should be carefully monitored. Increasing heart rate causes a hematopoietic reduction that can be fatal for people with existing heart problems.

severe confusion and disorientation is another serious side effect on which it should be monitored when using mydriatics. These drugs are known to affect the central nervous system. Especially in children it is possible for mydriatic drugs to cause ZMate, seizures and psychotic episodes. This and any other abnormal behavior should be reported immediately by doctors. The physician should also be warned immediately if the body's problems or odd movements occur, as it may be a sign of serious interactions.
