What are the different antihistamine drugs?

Antihistamines are a type of drug generally used to suppress the symptoms of allergies, although they are often combined with other drugs that act as decongestants and suppressing cough and then sold as cold medicines. Some of these drugs, such as diphenhydramine and brompheniramine, have sedative effects and sometimes used to treat insomnia. Other antihistamine drugs, such as fexopenadin and loratadin, are designed to have no sedative effect, or at least decreasing dosage and drug design, so that they do not pass through the blood barrier. Finally, Quetiapin is another type of antihistamine drug and is used to treat mental diseases.

Benadryl®, also known as diffenhydramine, is a type of antihistaminiz drug that is usually used to treat common symptoms of colds and allergy. This drug for antihistamines is available in the form of a tablet and is sometimes used to treat insomnia because of its sedative props. This prescription drug is usually taken every fourup to six hours.

This category of antihistamine drugs also includes bromfeniramine, which is often included in over -the -counter cold drugs such as Dimetapp®. In addition to bromfeniramine, Dimetapp® also includes other medicines dealing with cough and overload. Specifically, bromfeniramine solves the symptoms of colds such as eye and sneezing, and may have sedative effects and symptoms of oral dryness.

Another member of the category of antihistamine drugs is Levocetirizine, which is often launched as Xyzal®. Typical for antihistamines is usually used to alleviate the symptoms of environmental allergies. This particular medicine is designed so that it does not include a sedative effect, but can still lead to slight fatigue in some people and can result in severe drowsiness.

Drugaquetiapine, commonly sold as Ketipinor® or Seroquel®, is an antihistamine and a serotonin and dopam suppressorwell. This drug is used primarily to treat various bipolar conditions and schizophrenia. The aim of this antipsychotic drug is to change the functioning of the brain so that the symptoms of these conditions such as delusions and disorganized thinking are eliminated or reduced.

Another over -the -counter antihistamine remedy is Loratadine, which is sold under the names of the brands Alavert® and Claritin®. This medicine is available in the form of tablet and liquid and is designed so that it does not lead to drowsiness. Loratadine is often combined with decongestant drugs and launches as a cold medicine such as Sudafed®.

Finally, the antihistamine drug fexofenadin was developed to solve seasonal allergies. While many other antihistamine drugs must be used three or more times a day, fexofenadin can often be used only one does not stab twice a day. This drug can be used both in the form of tablet and liquid and usually does not bring drowsiness, except for overdose cases. Possible side effects include pain in the limbNač and back, as well as vomiting and headache.
