What is the bandage of butterflies?

Buttefly BANDAGE is a type of adhesive bandage that is used to hold closed wounds to either keep them purely as possible as long as they can be treated and closed by the doctor or keep them closed during treatment. Unlike adhesive bandages, which are supposed to cover superficial injuries, such as blisters, scratches and small burns and slices, butterfly bandages are often used for deep cuts that have penetrated several layers of skin. The reason why the dressing of butterflies is called that it has two "wings" of adhesive material that attaches to both sides of the wound and a thinner center that converts the wound.

As well as many other types of adhesive dressings, butterfly bandages come in a number of sizes, so this type of bandage can be worn by more types and sizes of wounds. The dressings can be purchased in boxes of any size or in boxes that include a mixture of small, medium and large bandage sizes. Dressings in several different sizes are often kept in first aid sets along with anotherTypes of adhesive bandages, sterile cotton, sterile gauze, triple antibiotic ointment, hydrogen peroxide and medicine for pain relief and decreased inflammation.

"wings" of butterfly bandages differ according to their design according to the bandage manufacturer. Some have quite an angular shape, while others are very rounded and look more like the real wings of butterflies. The shape of the wings on the dressing of butterflies can change the bandage efficiency. For example, very thin wings do not have to do so well that the wound is closed like larger wings. Sometimes bandages with smaller wings are used, so they are less noticeable in areas like a face.

While butterfly bandages can be used to temporarily close deep wounds, it is important to have serious or even slightly serious wounds treated by a doctor. Medical professional will be able to assess whether the wound can be kept closed by dressing butterflies separately or whether it will require stitches. Is also importantTo have a doctor's assessment whether the wound was contaminated and whether the patient would require oral antibiotics or injections to prevent infection or other type of disease that may be the result of the wound.
