What Is a CIC Hearing Aid?
In-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids, also known as in-ear cavity hearing aids. In-the-ear hearing aids are the earliest custom hearing aids developed and applied. It occupies the ear nail cavity and the ear nail boat, and is also called an ear nail hearing aid from an anatomical point of view. The shell is customized according to the shape of the ear shell of the hearing impaired. The microphone, amplifier and earphones are all placed in the customized shell. No external wires and hoses are required. It can be placed in the ear shell boat, ear shell cavity and external ear canal. Inside, it is more concealed and lighter. The microphone inlet of this type of hearing aid is located on the outer side of the hearing aid, which is more in line with the natural position of the human ear to feel the sound than the back of the ear type hearing aid. The volume and panel area of the in-ear type hearing aid are relatively large, making the dual microphone technology easier to apply. [1]
