What is colostomy?
Colostomy is the surgery that is used when there is a problem with the colon function. Colostomy can be a temporary measure that allows the damaged time to heal or be a means of creating a permanent alternative means to continue the functions with which thickness is usually processed. With colostomy, this means establishing a hole in the abdominal wall, which is usually referred to as a stoma.
The basic procedure for colostomy involves connecting part of the existing large intestine to the front of the abdominal wall.
