What is Curette?
Curette is a medical tool that is designed to scratch a surface such as tissue, tooth or interior of the body opening. Curettes is sold to many suppliers of medical tools, with several different sizes available for different types of tasks. For various applications, one -off and repeatedly usable versions are easily accessible. Although they are designed for use in medicine, Curettes can also be sometimes useful with hand tools for things like working ceramics. The tip has a sharp blade and can be tilted. Some variations of Curette basic design include wire loops that are designed to make them softer, and the curets with softened edges that can be used when the practitioners are afraid of cutting and injuring the patient.
These tools can be used by surgery, biopsy and autopsy for tissue scratching. One classic use of Curette is to clean the teeth where the dentist uses the device to remove TatarU, formally known as dental number. Kureta is also sometimes used to clean the ear so that the doctor can see in the ear or to ensure relief from the accumulation of wax, in which case soft cureta can be used to prevent ear injury. In both cases, the tool is used with bright light so that the doctor can clearly see the opening to confirm that Curette is applied to the right place.
Curette is also sometimes used in a medical procedure known as dilatation and curettage, in which the cervix is expanded and the device is used to scrape the uterine content. This technique can be used to treat various gynecological conditions and to end pregnancy. Known as D&C, when it is used to end pregnancy, dilatation and curettage, in fact does not always include Curette. Instead, other tools can be used, despite the name.
In the case of repeatedly usable Kureta, the tool is designed to be sterilized and can withstand heat, high pressure and hard soaps used to clean lékářské tools. The patients should be discarded by one -off curets because they cannot be sterilized and many of them will also break up if they are overused, thanks to their light design one use.
