What is anusol HC?
Anusol HC® is a steroid drug used to facilitate swelling, itching and discomfort of the rectal area caused by conditions such as hemorrhoids. The treatment contains an active ingredient called hydrocortisone, which is part of a group of drugs known as local corticosteroids. Anusol HC® is available as a local medicine and in the form of a suppository form.
Local cream is designed for use directly on the affected skin; Must not be inserted into the rectum. The form of the suppository is designed to insert into the rectum. The active ingredient of drugs acts to slow down cell growth and release of chemicals from cells that cause discomfort in the affected area.
Anusol HC® frequency depends on the severity of the skin condition. Treatment can take up to eight weeks for suppository and up to seven days for the current cream. Treatment should only be used for rectal complaints and nikolidal parts of the body.

Other serious side effects include infection, burning sensation, bleeding, severe headache, seizures and rectal pain.
When using Anusol HC®, patients should not receive any vaccination because steroids may affect the efficiency of the vaccine. Hydrocortisone overdose is unlikely to be life -threatening but may be harmful. Long -term use of steroids can also cause problems that include impotence, easy bruises, elevated hair or facial hair, menstrual problems and lack of interest in sex.
