What is diplosone ointment?

Diprosone ointment is an ointment used to treat common skin conditions such as psoriasis and certain forms of dermatitis. The general name for Diproson ointment is betamethasone dopropionate and belongs to the corticosteroid class of drugs. It is a human or synthetic drug and reduces swelling, redness and itching with these skin conditions when applied to the skin. It is used in a thin film on affected areas of the skin and gently twice a day. It should not be covered with dressings or bandages that do not allow air to reach the skin. It provides fast, long -lasting relief from itching, redness and swelling or inflammation in common with these skin problems. This may take from three days to three to four weeks. Treatment time varies depending on the severity of the symptoms and the patient's reaction to the drug. Diprosone ointment is not intended for use for more than four weeks.
