What is involved in lung cancer surgery?
lung cancer is a devastating disease that can be potentially fatal if it is not diagnosed in its earliest stages. Lung cancer surgery is common practice and is often used to diagnose and treat cancer. The most common form of surgery for lung cancer is referred to as thoracotomy and includes partial or complete lung removal. Other forms of surgery for lung cancer, including radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and laser therapy, are used to kill cancer cells without the removal of lung tissue.
