Preparation for lipomas resection

Wash local skin and shave hair.

Indications for lipomas resection

Lipoma with increased volume, tenderness or pain, and symptoms of mechanical compression.

Lipoma resection contraindications

1. Scar constitution.
2. Hemophilia or bleeding tendency.
3. Local inflammatory skin diseases, such as purulent skin diseases.
4. People with psychotic symptoms, emotional instability or high requirements, and the gap between the postoperative effect and requirements is too far away.

Lipoma Resection Procedure

Resection
On the surface of the lipoma, an incision is made along the long axis in the same direction as the skin lines, reaching the capsule of the lipoma. A blunt separation was performed along the lipoma capsule with index fingers or hemostatic forceps, until the hemostasis was completely ligated after removal. Nodule suture the residual cavity, the wound base should be brought in, leaving no dead space. Then suture the subcutaneous tissue and skin.
2. Extrusion method
This method can be used for small lipomas with loose subcutaneous tissues in the extremities or other parts, and those with no chronic inflammatory adhesion to surrounding tissues. First use the thumb, index finger and middle finger of the left hand to pinch the tumor, cut through the skin of the tumor on the whole layer, and squeeze it evenly. Subcutaneous tissue and skin are sutured layer by layer.

Lipoma resection complications

Hematoma, infection, scar.

Liposuction considerations

Correctly determine the location of lipoma, prevent the tumor from being unclear due to tissue swelling after injection of local anesthetic drugs. If necessary, draw a line on the skin surface before surgery.

Nursing after lipoma resection

1. After resection of a large lipoma, pressure bandaging to prevent hematoma, remove the rubber band 24-36 hours after drainage
2. Routine use of antibiotics to reduce infections.
Skin sutures were removed after 3.7 days.
