What is Vicodin?

Vicodin® is a type of pain killer that is classified as a narcotic. The drug is usually considered a narcotic if its additive can cause effects such as drowsiness or stupidity. Vicodin® is a trademark for a combination of acetaminophenes and hydrocodes.

Acetaminophen is an ordinary over -the -counter painkiller. Hydrocodone is a form of codeine that is considered a narcotic. Vicodin® is only available as prescription. Although the mechanism that takes place is not fully understood, the combination of both drugs reduces pain by performing brain pain receptors.
