Are animals bored?

It would be extremely difficult to determine whether or not all animals are bored, but animals with higher functioning may actually experience boredom. For example, pets, such as dogs and cats, often extend extended naps by lack of mental stimulation. Cats are particularly susceptible to boredom attacks because they long for a considerable interaction with their owners throughout the day. Some animals may show in their external environment a look at glassy eyes or obvious interest, but this does not necessarily translate boredom into the human concept. Some animals spend hours at a time and are simply waiting for a promising source of food. Although these animals may appear to be heartless or impartial, it may be more accurately copied by their state of mind as sleeping or semi -connected. When higher functioning animals are bored, they can think of stimulating games or visit the unexplored parts of their habitats. This behavior is remarkably similar to unnecessary but projects stimulating mind that people often onThey go while facing hours of inactivity.

Some may argue that the extent of the animal's attention may be generally extremely short, which means that what people could consider as signs of boredom can simply be a temporary lack of mental stimulation. While some animals can show signs of boredom, they may not actually have the ability to create such complex emotions. It is possible that many animals live more in a defined "enthusiastic/not enthusiastic" state of mind, which perhaps permits a sense of boredom, but not the same sense of frustration of people associated with real boredom. When many animals are bored, they simply live in a disconnected emotional state until something new comes to break monotony. For example, animals living in zoos can sit quietly for hours until visitors arrive.
