How do I install the toilet?
It is quite easy to install the toilet if you have a little know-how and the right equipment. If it is not a new installation, the first step is to remove the old toilet. That's easy - if you don't have to move water lines to a new location. If this is the case, call the plumber to move the inlet and drain lines after removal. Then rinse it to remove most of the water from the bowl. Use a mushroom or cup and bucket to remove the remaining water from the bowl. Then disconnect the water line from the base of the tank. To facilitate lifting, the tank can be removed from the bowl by unscrewing the nuts on the underside of the tank and lifting. However, this is not necessary. Using the adjustable key, unscrew the nuts. If azived or corroded on the floor, try using a nut and a screw released spray or in the last Hacksan resort.
As soon as it's done, wipe the bowl to the side to gently release the sealSeal on the floor, then lift the toilet and place it on the side. It is good to put the rag into the flange to prevent the room from entering. Make a thorough cleaning of the floor area around the flange, especially the scratch of all the wax rings residues and the replacement of the undercuts with new screws. Creating a trail of an old toilet, painting the wall behind it and/or a pre -printing floor is now easier than ever!
Before you can install new accessories, you need to get several parts: wax ring or base seal, new bolts, plumbing sealant, bathroom seal or plaster, and maybe a new flange if the old worn or unintentional 1/2 inch, 1/2 inches (1.27 cm) from the finished floor. When installing, remember that most toilets are porcelain and can easily burst. When you turn a new bowl, hold carefully and place it on a padded, thick surface. Install the new wax ring on the corner of the bowl on the bottom with a smooth flat side facing the toilet. If mA wax ring sleeve, it should be the farthest from the bowl.
Place the undercut screws into the flange and place two straws over the top for easy to help lead the bowl through the screws. If you use a seal or plaster, use a new toilet on the track. Remove the rag from the flange.
Now carefully lift and turn the bowl, align the holes for screws with straws or screws themselves. Once the toilet is set, do not select it back to prevent damage to the new seal. Gently swing it back and forth and set the wax seal and plaster or sealant. Manually cuts the nuts on the-down screws, be careful not to detect too much because the porcelain can burst. Once it is tense and at the level, use Plumber's putty to get the closures on the screws.
If the tank is a separate piece, place the screws in the holes from the inside of the tank and line them with the holes in the bowl. Tighten the nuts from the bottom of the tank and adjust the flushing valve if necessary. Again pJoin the water line and turn the water back and complete the process.
