What is Libero in volleyball?
Like American football, football and some other sports, volleyball teams have the opportunity to have a player who specializes in defense. This player is called libero . This player is usually fast, can be shorter than many other players, and his defensive skills chased to a good point. While Libero may have dreams of gaining a point, it rarely happens because of the rules designed specifically for this specialized player.
In order to use Libero, the team must say that the person as such before the start of the tournament. Once it is declared that Libero can freely replace any other volleyball player, but must remain on the back line. Liberos cannot block, try to block or serve. Furthermore, volleyball players on the first line cannot attack from a point higher than the net, if they get a finger pass from Libera by the Rally Rally to the front zone. He or she is obliged to wear a different color uniform than the rest of the team. This is not just to help officials clearly identifyTo dig players, but also remind the teammates that they cannot attack the fingers of Libera if Libero is in the front zone.
The advantage of libera is that he or she is not subject to normal substitution rules that other players must follow. Usually only six substitutions are allowed on the set and once the player has left the game, he can return once, but then he must remain in the rest of the set. None of these rules apply to Liberos. This gives teams that have an exceptionally talented defense player a bit of advantages, especially if their more offensive players are not so qualified in defensive.
