What are Acacias?

Acacias are trees and shrubs in the family acacia . Acacias can be found naturally on each continent on Earth with the exception of Antarctica and are intentionally cultivated for different purposes. The best known acacia is probably those that are adapted to the harsh environment of the African savannas, but with more than 800 species in this genus Acacias are actually quite diverse.

There are two main types of acacia. One type produces small, gloomy leaves that are ideally suitable for hot climate. If the conditions are favorable to photosynthesis, the leaves can rotate to expose the maximum amount of surface surface to the sun, but when the weather is rough, the leaves can be folded to reduce their exposed surface area, reducing the risk of burning. Other acacias have specialized flattened stems instead of leaves. Many species also have thorns and all species produce clusters of flowers with several sticks that cause to appear very unclear.

These pea family pussies are found primarilyrne in tropical and subtropical areas. Thanks to thorns they are sometimes known as Thorntrees and some people can also call Acacias as Wattles. In the natural environment, acacia can become very important because they provide food and shelter for a wide range of animals. Some African acacia even form symbiotic relationships with creatures such as ants, and create habitats for ants in return for protection against insect pests.

shoots and seeds of some acacia species are used in Asian cuisine and Acacia Med is also in many regions of prices for its slight light taste. Acacia Med is very slow crystallizing, so it is attractive to honey producers who wish to send their honey. Some acacias are used for their hardwood wood, while others can be treated to extraction of tannins and various gums. Commercially useful types of acacia are a group of many regions of the world, especially in the harsh forCenters where conventional agriculture would not be successful.

Acacias can also be used ornamentation. Many species are relatively decorative and thorns can be a discouraging environment of unwanted visitors. However, people who wish to use acacias as decorative plants may want to realize that some people are allergic to acacia pollen. Acacias produces a large amount of pollen when they are healthy, and people with such allergies can experience watery eyes, cold or breathing difficulties when exposed.
