What are the centipedes?

Centipedes, often called thousands of Legehers, are long mistakes that are often tanned or brownish. In some places they are even found in shades of red. Thousands of lights are nicknamed because they have what seems to be a thousand small legs that use to run a very fast floor or wall. It is estimated by 8,000 species of centipers and live all over the world. They are arthropods.

Like all arthropods, they have skeletons that are on the outside of their bodies and segmented, connected legs. Although they may look as if they had a thousand legs, they actually have only one pair of legs on the body segment, so that the centipede usually has between 30 and 70 legs. For this reason, they prefer to hunt at night, when it is colder, even more wet. When they live outside, they prefer to spend their days hiding under the rocks or fallen wood and leaves. Sometimes, when it is very hot, the centipede plunges into the ground and lies asleep until the rainfall is supported to drive again.

Centipepers are not really insects. Have too many legs to be considered real insects because the mistakes that fit into this category have six legs or less. Also insects usually have bodies that are divided into three segments. On the other hand, the centipede has a very small head and more segments. Each other segment has its own pair of legs, so the centipede with 15 segments would have 30 legs.

Centipedes are carnivorous creatures. Although they are often described as household pests, they actually help to get rid of insects' house. People are often quite afraid of them, although they rarely harm them. Usually these mistakes avoid close enough to bite people. However, it is possible to deliver the bites that the pain of Sting brings.

Centipedes have very bad eyesight, yet they are qualified hunters. They use their very developed senses of the smell and touch to run towards their prey and grab them with pliers that emit poison. UsuallyThey kill and consume things like spiders, cockroaches, moths and ordinary households.

Centipedes found in residential houses are usually very small, often come to 1 to 2 inches (2.54 to 5.08 centimeters) long. However, some types can grow relatively large. In fact, a giant desert centipede that lives in North America can grow as an incredible 9 inches (22.86 centimeters). It farts on small lizards, rodents and toads and leaves insect food for its smaller relatives. The largest centipede in the world is known as the Amazon Giant Centipede and, among other things, reaches more than 12 inches, among other things it is suitable for bats, rodents and spiders.
