What are the fountain pens?

Fountain Pen is one of many instruments in the development of writing. The first writing tools were probably shaped sticks for the production of brands in the clay. When writing developed on the surface application of pigment, pens and brushes were required. Both were cylindrical, and at a slope at the inclination, it can be calculated that it is holding a drop or two ink when working. The Quill pen was a standard writing instrument throughout Western history - they were cheap and the supplies were abundant. The brush cut to the sharp end of the cylinder would lead ink by capillary action to the tip and thus to paper.

Quill pen had some unpleasant features. Points, or spikes, were used by cluster and left fleets and spray. Often it was necessary for the writer to stop and focus the point by cutting off the mashed part and abolishing the tip. This led to any need for anni brk when the shaft was turned away. This problem was solved by the invention of a humming pen with a metal tip that combined the benefits of a quill with a bonus that he never needed focus and Carefully couldat indefinitely.

Fountain Pens has made a submerged pen one step further. Named after the tank in the barrel held ink, the original pens of the fountain were carefully filled with a small dropper.

Soon fountain pens came up with a small rubber tank in the barrel. Pressing a button, lever or card on the outside of the barrel would be pressed inside the package. Then the filling pen was soaked ink and the bulb was released to expand to the original size, and formed a vacuum that would succeed ink into the bulb.

In the 1950s, the fountain pens were further improved by adding pre -filled ink cartridges, which were simply inserted in the dark. The screwing mainly into the head of the pen led the sharpened tube into the cassette, opened it and fed ink from the cassette to the tip for writing.

Shortly after the invention of the filling pen cartridge, however, a ball pen was invented and quickly overtaken the filling pen in use. StakeThe ID points did not die, as the best fountain pens did, and applied the ink evenly without blotting or a sudden promontory or spray.

6 The original pens from their early years are highly collectible and very pleasant.
