What is a banjo?
Banjo is a stringed tool that has a classic rounded body with a long, thin neck. The number of chains varies depending on the type: The classic banjo has only four or five chains, but other versions may have up to six. The sound of the tool is commonly associated with Bluegrass and Country Western music in the United States, although it seems in other music genres. Musicians from all over the world will pick up Banjo for their distinctive style and sound and constantly improve the instrument to suit their specific needs. Banjo was probably created in Africa, where a tool called mbanza was made by stretching animal skin to gourd and adding a long neck with strings that were to be taken out by a musician. These string instruments were brought to America with captured slaves, and the first recorded instances of the word date back to the mid -17th century. In the 18th century, the Black Minstrel Show created a common banjo and the sleepers were added to the tool to change the sound. Gourd was replaced by flat wood or metal frame at a time whenJ exploded into popular culture.
Tradiční banjos přicházejí ve čtyřech nebo pěti variantách strun, obvykle, s pěti řetězci zavěšenými částmi nahoru po krku a slouží jako dron. The six chain version is tuned and plays like a guitar, and some other exotic variants include even more chains. Musicians usually wear some tips of fingers to twitch the instrument, although some prefer to use their fingers instead. Hudba banjo je charakterizována výrazným zvukem „Rinky-Tink“, ačkoli existuje řada různých stylů hraní, v závislosti na stylu hudby a tréninku, který hudebník obdržel.
Four chain variants, including tenor Banjo, which has a shorter neck and other tuning than a traditional model. Tenor Banjos is often used in Irish music and dixieland bands. Plectrum Banjo, another incarnation, has a longer traditional neck and is designed to play with a single selection such as a guitar. Musicians mThey tend to tend with this type more than to pull out chords, leading to a different sound. Banjo was also hybridized by a number of tools, including Bouzoukis, Ukuleles, Mandolines and Guitars. These variants combine distinctive sounds of their parent instruments for unique sound and resonance.
