What are the different types of balcony construction?

The balcony is an extended platform or scaffolding that protrudes from the outer wall of the building, usually from the second story of the building or higher. The platform is safely connected to the framing of the building called The Ledger. For safety reasons, all balconies are surrounded by railings. While this basic balcony design is consistent among all styles, builders also use different changes in construction to better suit the balcony for its different uses. Different types of balcony design are a false balcony, real balcony, loggia and mezzanine balcony styles.

FALSE BALCONY CONSTRUCTION has a window or door with a gate blocking opening. This type of balcony, which is also called Juliet or French balcony, is not suitable for walking and serves mainly as a decoration of the building. The railing can be extremely decorated and have spectacular forged iron, colored stucco or wooden boxes. Unlike the other two balcony types, a fake balcony requires less structural support. This balcony extends about 6 pAlci (15 cm) and allows you to slightly open a window or door and provide light and fresh air for the inner rooms.

The real balcony is the most common and identifiable type of construction that has a package and in some cases a small roof. Some real balconies are set in a small niche in the building and create a natural roof and walls. The design of this balcony must be very safe and stable, with balcony floor beams firmly connected to the book Book. Many builders provide additional support with thick metal or metal support brackets under the balcony deck. Supporting structures are often an incremental part of the balcony decoration, while creative builders add elegant scrolls or concrete sculptures.

Although not technically balconies, Lodgia styles and mezzaninejs very similar to the basic design of the balcony. Both styles provide a raised deck with access to outsidethe neck of the part of the building. Loggia is more like a covered outer deck extending from one end of the building to the other. This type of construction is usually integrated into the outer wall of the building and does not spread out as a real balcony.

Mezzanin is more like a typical balcony that has a large package with rails that are designed out of the wall. Unlike a typical balcony, however, Mezzanin is usually an internal construction. This type of balcony design moves around a large room, as seen in large hotels or rustic lofts.
