What are the different types of Tarsier?

Tarsiers are small, night primates who were once grouped together with Lemura and other relatives of animals. Although there is not much known about Tarsiers how the course progresses, science becomes more of these mysterious primates. Nevertheless, there is a debate on Tarsiers' taxonomy and as such could propose different types of species classification; You could say that there are eight types of Tarsiers. These include Dian's Tarsier, Lariang Tarsier and Peleng Tarsier. Filipino Tarsier, Pygmy Tarsier and Sangihe Tarsier are different species, as well as spectral Tarsier and Western Tarsier.

In general, Tarsiers are found in Southeast Asia. Specifically, Diana Tarsiers and Lariang Tarsiers live in low -rain rainforests in Indonesia on the island of Sulawesi; Pygmy Tarsiers also lives in Sulawesi, but in the upper rainforests in the mountains. Peleng Tarsiers lives on the island of Peleng and the Philippine Tarsiers are found in various stations in the Philippines. Sangihe Tarsiers are located on the island of Great Sangihe and SPElectral Tarsiers live on various islands, including Sulawesi, Great Sangihe and Peleng. Western Tarsiers are located on Borneo and Sumatra Islands in various stations such as dense bamboo, jungles and rainforests.

More specific knowledge of different types of Tarsier is limited because they are difficult to study. For example, they are night and do not respond well to be kept in captivity. In addition, it may be difficult to distinguish between separate Tarsier species based on the appearance itself, because they all have similarities. However, there are some differences and distinctive features in some species.

In general, Diana's Tarsiery has a gray color, with white hair over the upper lips and white hair in the center of the lower lips. Their tails are bare in addition to some hair at the end. Lariang Tarsiers are dark gray in color, with black stripes around the nose and outside the white stripes around the lips. They also have black edges toOlem eyes and dark tail with black tip. Peleng Tarsiers have a reddish color than some other types, with creamy tips for hair on their thighs.

Philippine Tarsiers are different colors, from brown gray to reddish brown. The Tarsiers Pygmy is probably the easiest to distinguish from other Tarsiers simply for their small body size. They spread in color and can be gray or brown red, with a gray lower abdomen; Their tails are furry and dark brown or black. Sangihe Tarsiers have hair on the ankle and at the end of the tail. Spectral tarsiers are gray to gray, colors in color and have scaly tails with bushy tufts at the ends, and finally the western Tarsiers differ in color and have a slight amount of hair on the tail.
