What are different types of turtles?

We are all familiar with the children's story, turtle and hare. Turtles are some of the oldest creatures that have been around the days of dinosaur and even looked a bit prehistoric. There are many different types and varieties of turtles, classified in twelve biological families. Turtles can generally be divided between turtles (soil variety) and sea turtles, which spend most of the time in the water, even if they overlap. He spends most of his time in ponds, lakes and slowly moving streams. Most turtles we see in ponds or pet stores belong to this family, including diamond therapins and turtles. Less common freshwater turtles include a variety of soft shells. These turtles have leather coresten rather than a hard shell. Like other soil reptiles, land turtles live generally in warm areas of the world and are herbivorous. Unlike the fins on the sea turtle, turtles have club legs and slowly travel on the ground. The tortoises are large, carnivorous turtles with fresh water. YetWhat most turtles are quiet and terrible, turtles are aggressive and are prone to attacking almost anything.

sea turtles are divided between two classifications. Most sea turtles are different families, but are closely related. Leather backans are the largest and hardest of sea turtles, often weighing almost £ 1100 (500 kg). Sea turtles are much faster in the water than their counterparts loving soil-some sea turtles reached almost 20 km / h (32 km / h). Most marine turtles are encangered. Although they are searched for food, leather and shell ornaments, catching turtles is illegal.
