What is renewable energy?

Renewable energy concerns energy sources that are natural, continuous and large. This includes solar energy, wind energy, water energy, geothermal energy and certain biofuels. The disadvantage for renewable energy sources is that they generally require a significant amount of infrastructure to extract noticeable energies. For example, the collection of solar energy requires expensive solar panels. Wind energy collection requires wind turbines. Obtaining energy from running water requires dams, etc. Most countries gain less than 10% of their energy from renewable energy sources. Fossil fuels are easier to come and are currently returning more energy for the dollar invested in their extraction. Some countries, such as Iceland and Norway, gain up to 99% of their energy from renewable energy, but it is because they are comfortable in areas where there is abundant geothermal activity. For other Earths to switch to renewable energy sources, they will require significant investments and initial costs. FSeesile fuels pollutes the country, are limited in nature and are controlled by undemocratic states in politically unstable regions. The use of our limited amount of energy from fossil fuels to invest in renewable energy infrastructure seems to be a wise collective decision for the human species.

Finally, the source of renewable energy that offers the largest amount of energy is solar energy. They invest millions of risk capital and government dollars in start -up businesses that seek to increase efficiency and reduce the cost of solar cells and progress. Solar furnaces that condense the tslunční rays to the mirror focus, then use this heat to the boil of liquid and the operation of turbines, are an even more effective means of using solar energy than conventional solar panels. The surfaces of the world's oceans are largely unused and life in some parts of the sea is largeEven rare, which makes them ideal places for deploying floating solar panels that drive world cities. Finally, we will use the volume of Gargantuans to set solar panels and beam performance where it is needed.

Meanwhile, we can extract a considerable amount of energy from other renewable sources such as water and wind. For example, the recently completed Three Gorges dam in China will produce 18 gigawatts of continuous energy when all its generators are installed. This gives about 3% of the national demand for electricity. The project is about a billion US dollars (USD).
