What are the flower kingdoms of the world?
The
area of the world is classified in the field of geography in several different ways. Zoogeographic provinces look at the animals of the world and their distribution. Ecoregions take into account plants and animals. Looking at the World Flower Kingdom is one of the means to understand different areas of the world and their distinctive flora.
Building on the word Ronald Good, professor of botany at the Hull University in Yorkshire, England, which identified six flower kingdoms, Soviet-Armenian Takhtajan, created a classification system that had a great influence on the understanding of botany. Six Kingdoms of Takhtajan is:
• Paleotropic kingdom
• Neotropic kingdom
• Kingdom of South African
• Kingdom of Australian
• The Kingdom of Antarctic
contains a total of 35 regions, with at least one region and all regions have at least one professional, a total of 152 provinces.
Holarktic kingdom
If one perceives Globe with the North Pole above, the Holarctic area covers the entire upper part of the world. Takhtajan divided this kingdom into nine regions:
• Circumborreal region covers the Arctic, northern, central, Eastern and Atlantic, the Caucasus, most of Siberia and Canada, including large lakes.
• Easter Asian regions include all of China, except south, Japan, Korea, Tai -Wan and Eastern Himalayas.
• North American Atlantic includes the North American Atlantic and the coast of Gulf Coast Plain, Prairies and Appalachian Province.
• Rocky Mountain Region includes rock mountains and vancouver.
• The Macaronesic region includes azores, Madeira, Canary and Kap Verde.
• The Mediterranean region includes southwest, southern and eastern Mediterranean, Iberia, Adriatic and Crimea.
• Saharo-Arabian region coversSahara, Egypt and Arabia.
• Irano-Turanian region covers Mesopotamia, Armenia, Iran, Western Himalayas, Mongolia and Tibet
• The Madrean region covers a large basin, sonora, California and the Mexican Highlands.
Another five flower kingdoms
This paleotropic kingdom is covered by the rest of Africa, which is not included in the Holarktic region, as well as India, Sri Lanka, Indochina, Fiji, Polynesia and Hawaii. The neotropic kingdom is covered by the rest of Mexico, which is not included in the Horartktical region, plus Central America and most, but not all, South America. The Kingdom of Australia includes Australia. The Kingdom of South African includes only the Cape area, and sometimes the name Cape is used for the kingdom. Finally, the Kingdom of Antarctic includes Chile, Pampas, Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, the South Islands in the Subantarctic Region, Nový Poland and the neighboring islands and continent of Antarctica.
