What does "t" mean in a T -shirt?

T -shirt has a straight body with sleeves above, which creates the form of the letter "T", hence the name "T -shirt". While similar types of cotton subchers were worn in front of the T -shirt, all of them were sleeveless varieties, so there were not really shirts "T" or T -shirts. The United States Navy began to have t -shirts made for sailors in 1913 because they wanted something under the sailors that would cover their hair on their chest. Until the end of the 30th summer and Sears Roebuck they created a T -shirt for sale to civilians. The fruit of the weaving state began to produce a T -shirt in 1938. The shirt was called the "GOB" shirt; Gob was a popular slang term for a sailor in the United States. GOB shirts advertised Sears as suitable for wearing as an outer garment than just as a linen. Military testing was actually done with T -shirts to determine their suitability for military service. Most military members preferred the shape of the T -shirt for many reasons, for example, the backpacks were more comfortable on the back of the shoulders with t -shirts and sleeves allowed better sweat absorption. The added sleeves also protected the shoulders from burning.

When Marlon Brando was wearing a t -shirt with an outer garment in a "desire named tram", it made quite a feeling. James Dean and Elvis also gave T -shirt a new look and a stronger style that showed that the male body became very popular. T -shirt was definitely male clothing until the 1950s, when sports T -shirts began to wear both sexes and decorated with felt letters for school teams and clubs.
