What is barenacle?

common Barnacle is a small crustacean that lives in the "upper zone", in the area of the beach that the water reaches during the tide. They are arthropods and have a close relationship with crabs, shrimp and lobster and more generally insects and spiders.

Barnacle is an incredibly interesting marine creature. At first glance, it looks deceptive like molluscs and attracts as molluscs to rocky surfaces. They can usually be found attached to ships, pier and any other uneven surface that can be in contact with shallow water at regular intervals. Another remarkable feature of Barnacle is that it is hermaphroditic, which contains both male and female reproductive organs.

Barnacles are reproduced by the fertilization of his neighbors. The fertilized eggs remain inside the shell of his parents until they develop on the nauplius larvae. There may be more than 10,000 naupli within the shell. Nauplius then evolves in various stages Moult until he reaches another larval stage and becomes toypridem where it develops a carapace or a type of shell.

As a Cypride, this complex sea animal will stop feeding and instead decide to simply wait for the right time to connect to an acceptable surface. When this happens, Barnacle will be a molt and rotates to make sure that his attachments are heading forward, which will gradually turn into grim Cirriped. These long limbs will act as a kind of plankton sweep, which is how it collects its food. Once Barnacle has reached this phase of its development, it will be graduated into adulthood. Barnacle will then live for the rest of his life attached to one place and will not be able to move or swim. In short, it is now at the mercy of elements.

Some species of Barnacles are Rock Barnacle, Honeycomb Barnacle, Six-Drain Barnacle and Rosette Barnacle.
