What is the bass clarinet?

Bass Clarinet is a one -time tool in the Woodwind family and is the biggest clarinet. It is made of wood or plastic resin and has a standard range of four octaves. Bass Clarinet, which was invented at the end of the eighteenth century, has been a regular member of symphony orchestras and concert bands since the beginning of the 20th century. The body consists of two straight black sections with metal keys. At the bottom end, the metal bell curls and at the other end the metal neck curves the mouthpiece towards the player. Most bass clarinetists use a short stand on the base or neck to distribute weight. He plays in the B-Flat concert key, one octave lower than the more common soprano clarinet. By using the width key, professional bass clarinets can achieve a B-Flat concert just over two octaves below Middle C, or B-FLAT 1 in scientific records. Music rarely requires any remark higher than B-FLAT 5 , but a professional player can play much higher on a high quality tool. Key rEmbinosal and key Extra registry are the only differences between the bass clarinet keys and the differences of soprano clarinet. These keys are present only on medium and professional instruments.

Experts in the history of music are not sure when Bass clarinet was developed, but a man named G. Lott invented "Basse-Tube" in 1772 in Paris, France. In 1793, Heinrich Greneser created in Dresden "clarinetten-bass" for use in marching bands instead of Fagot. 1838, a Belgian manufacturer called Adolphe Sax built a tool that quickly became standard.

One of the first songs using the bass clarinet was Saverio Mercadante's Opera Emma d'Antiochia , which was opened in 1834. At the beginning of 1845, Tannhauser began to popularize the tool through its many operas. Soon it started to include other composers like Franz Liszt,Giuseppe Verdi and Giacamo Puccini.

In the twentieth century, the bass clarinet became a standard member of every symphony orchestra and a concert band. The instrument is also present in marching bands and jazz combos. Although bass clarinets are rare in popular music, the Beatles introduced them in "when I am sixty -four".
