What is Bushmaster?

poisonous bushmaster is one of the longest snakes in the world, ranging from approximately 6 feet (1.8 m) to more than 13 feet (around 4 m). He lives in several South American countries, including Nicaragua, Brazil, Costa Rica and Colombia. Bushmaster differs in color from brownish red to gray pink, depending on the color of its surroundings and can have a diamond -shaped or X -shaped back. A triangular head shape, similar to the shape of a rattling, serves as a warning that the snake is poisonous.

There are only three types of this dangerous snake, lachesis muta , lachesis melanocephala and lachesis . It belongs to the subfamily of the scum called Crotalinae or poisonous Pitvipers that refer to the pit under their eyes. These pits help snakes detect heat, helping them locate prey and allow them to see in two different spectrums of light, visible spectrum and infrared spectrum.

People rarely see these deadly snakes because bushmasters live in distant jungles and dEstate forests. As a result, their bites are even more dangerous, because it means that when bite occurs, there are often no hospitals or other medical facilities. Before the victim of the snake bite achieves help, it is usually too late.

There are few documented Bushmaster bite cases. The few that exist suggest 80 percent mortality, which makes this snake one of the deadliest existence. They have exceptionally long fangs that are able to penetrate and firmly grasp their victims, causing them to inject them deeply. As a result, it is known that a very deep bite of shrubs causes serious scarring in those who survive. The survivors also tend to withstand acute pain and vomiting during their fight for life.

Bushmaster uses his color as a camouflage to protect and help her find prey. When hunting remains completely calm and then quickly udIt ears until her intended sacrifice approaches. The snake kills by injection of his deadly poison, which immobilizes its prey and causes body tissues to disintegrate rapidly. Indeed, the animal starts to decompose before it is digested. Venom, hemotoxin, allows Bushmaster to eat animals much larger than himself.

6 Her children are fed with a diet consisting only of small frogs and lizards. Adults eat a completely different diet and feed only mammals such as roasts, rats and mice. Bushmaster is night and hunts at night when there are animals where they are most active.
