What is a carpet chameleon?

The carpet chameleon is a small lizard originating from Madagascar. His scientific name has changed in recent years from chamaeleo lateralis to the current classification, furcifer laterralis . The carpet chameleon is located on most of Madagascar, but is missing in the extreme northern and northwest parts of the island. Men are generally less colorful than women. Their skin has spots, spots and lines green, blue, white and yellow. Females show all these colors and others, including a series of bright red to orange and purple shades. There are often stripes on the neck and lips in both men and women.
