What is a gas slug?
The gas slug is one of the series of high -pressure gas bubbles that rise from some volcanoes to eventually explode on the surface during eruption of magma. These bubbles are one of the main forces for Strombolian eruptions. The gas slug usually bursts when it comes into contact with the air and creates a clear Strombol arch of the lava. Bubbles can sometimes form miles below the surface and rise faster than the magma in which they form. Vulcanologists are still not sure how these gas slugs are formed.
Volcanology is a scientific study of volcanoes and Vulcanological studying as volcanoes develop. They often travel to the eruptions to collect ash, rocks and lava samples to further understand the internal mechanisms of the volcano. One of their main goals is perhaps one day to predict when and where there could be another eruption and thus save human lives. He also tries to learn more about creating the country.
The name "Stromboli" comes from Mt. Stromboli. This volcano exploded almost without stopping for 20 000 let. This particular explosion is controlled by gas and usually explodes at about every few minutes at intermittent intervals. volcano and tend to be the least violent eruption.
gas in magma can create a number of different types of eruptions. They can explode in an angry manner or with stiff pieces of glass textured lava. Scoria, a lava that still has gas bubbles in its stiffened form, and lava flows are other types of terminal slugs. The lava flows occur when molten currents of the lava are connected and begins to fly on the outer sop of the volcano. The name FNEBO All these forms of explosive materials are sometimes referred to as "Temphra".
volcanic gases are actually dissolved in a molten rock at a depth, but as soon as the magma reaches a point where the pressure is low enough, the gas begins to form bubbles. This, in turn, allows magma easier to continue flow to the surface. Eventually magmaAnd the gas slug reaches the surface with a series of explosions and lava arches.
