What is the carriage?
In the past, the carriage fulfilled an important need in both houses in the city and in the country. Originally designed as a coaching house, a carriage house was used to ensure an indoor space for coaches and carriages when they were not used. In the stroller it often included space for accessories and maintenance equipment related to vehicles. In some larger versions of the stroller, space for horse stables was also included in one part of the building.
Depending on the personal taste or financial condition of the owner, transport houses could be complicated structure or something that was simplistic and utilitarian. Victorian transport houses tend to imitate the architectural detail of the main house on the land. This could include features such as bay windows and even stained glass, as well as complicated scroll on eaves and other parts of the facade.
The area around the stroller was an offset of landscape, as a way to continue the general appearance of the courtyard. Large versions of the stroller would also include HornThe flow that provided housing for employees of households authorized to care for horses and coaches. Due to the charming lines and the attractive nature of the Victorian stroller, the structures were often visible from the street and accessible by the gracefully winding way, which was usually paved with brick or paving stones.
In other examples, the carriage would tend to be a very simple structure. The interior was composed of one room and was accessible by two large doors that would allow the carriage to enter and get out of the house. The design was often easier than the main house and was often placed so that the simple structure was not easily seen from the street or on the road. With a focus on usefulness, the structure usually does not have any more than one window and were usually made of clean glass.
Today, many old carriage houses have been transformed into other uses. Cozy guest houses are easily made of stroller. With the arrival of a carMany transport houses were transformed into garages. The carriage also found a new life as a workshop or art studio, ideal for storing tools, woodworking equipment and other tools necessary for weekend fans. In some cases, old strollers were converted into retail stores, small restaurants and neighboring bars.
