What is the drama of the cabinet?
The cabinet drama is a game that has not been written with the intention of achieving stage production. Most of the time, this form of literature is written for private quiet reading or aloud reading among small groups of friends. The themes covered in box dramas can be quite diverse, but since many of these games have been written in about the same period of time, they can have similar topics and styles. Usually the dramatic form of the cabinet was used as a way of writing commercially irritable forms of theater. In small group values, listeners were equally often actors, and in private readings, the reader requires the reader to use his imagination to fill the gaps left by the dialogue. This differs from a radio drama that is not designed to be physically acting, but which has a intended public audience.
The cabinet dramas were popular as a way to escape the limitation of work that had to be commercially successful. When it was published as a bound book, it could be sent to the wardrobe drama to your pubLike than to demand that the audience gathered. In this way, these games allowed works that were not attractive at the time they were released. This is one of the reasons why many of these games are tragedy, because these works probably failed on stage during the period when the comedy decided.
Some authors wrote cabinet dramas because they wanted to write games in a way that would not work well on stage when they wrote. Others used this form as a way to continue writing games in exile. Yet it was not uncommon for people to simply enjoy the drama of the cabinet without external pressure.
Although these works were not intended for staged values, they are sometimes performed today on stage. One of the popular examples is Goethe's Faust . Some classic games, such as those written by Seneca, can also be drama cabinets.
Among the many writers of the drama cabinets, those who are most famous are the authors who had their names other writing. John Milton, Lord Byron and PErcy bysshe Shelley everyone wrote in this form, although everyone is better known for different types of writing. This type of drama is still written, but significantly decreased in popularity.
