What is a desert snake?
Desert snake is a type of snake that lives in the desert climate and is able to prosper in an environment with limited humidity. In the United States (USA), many desert snakes are located in the Mojave desert in the southwest in areas like Arizona. Among these best known is probably Western Diamondback rattlesnake. In the US, however, there are a number of other desert snake species, with different levels of toxicity and different ways of hunting. Outside the US, desert snakes can be found in areas such as Sahara in Africa as well as in the entire Arab desert. Rattlesnakes, usually most often thoughts of a desert snake in the US, are Pit Vipers, which means that under their nostrils have two small pits that allow them to detect heat. This allows these types of snakes to hunt heat distorted prey are small rodents, even in complete darkness. The rattlesnakes are usually identified by their triangular heads and connected rattles found at the base of their bodies.
together with rattlesnakes, coral snakes and kings are also common types of desert snake found in the US in areas such as New Mexico and Arizona. Coral snakes and mountain kings seem quite similar to colors, with stripes red, black and yellow or white. However, their differences are important because coral snakes are highly poisonous and can be recognized by the fact that red belts directly touch yellow or white belts on their bodies. Kingsnakes, however, have black on their bodies separating red and white or yellow and are not toxic. In fact, Kingsnakes are usually immune to the snake poison and tend to feed on other snakes, such as asparagus, birds and rodents.
In desert regions outside the US, such as Arabic and Saharan deserts, deserts are the common type of desert snake, and usually those who inhabit or normally pass through such places. These include the Shara Sahara that has sandy brown color, which makes it difficult until he is nota desirable or small animal too close. Arabic horned viper is also common in the Arab desert and is usually night, avoiding the burning heat of the day preferably for hunting its prey in the darkness of the night.
