What is the devil's beam?

The devil's beam is a type of beam - a fish determined by its flat, diamond shape - which has a few fins in the front of the body that seem similar to the corners, which gives these fish their name. Several different types of beams can be called devilish rays and most of them belong to the family Mobula in the Myslobatidae or Eagle Rays family. These different types of beams include Mobula Hypostoma, also called Atlantic Devil Ray or Lesser Devil Ray and Mobula Mobular, often called Devil's Fish or the Giant Devil Ray. These devilish rays usually occur throughout the Atlantic Ocean, although some observations in the Pacific have also been reported. From the overhead costs, they tend to look quite in the shape of a diamond, with fins that look similar to the wings reaching on each side. They also have a long, thin tail, which in some species can contain a sharp spine used for first -class. Devil's rays are specifically recognizable due to a pair of cephalic fins found on the front of the fish, KTEré usually points forward and from above, may seem like corners. Mylobatidae, or eagle beams, are identified in a charming way they float, reminiscent of a bird climb through the air.

Although many devilish rays are generally known little and the Atlantic devilish rays are no exception, they were to some extent studied. Traveling themselves, in small groups and even larger groups were found and look black, dark gray and bluish colors. The Atlantic Devil's rays usually occur along the east coast of North and South America and the Gulf of Mexico. They seem to feed primarily on small crustaceans, such as shrimp and also in smaller fish.

The devilish fish or the giant devilish ray is the second largest type of beam, the second only to Manta Ray or Manta Birostis, sometimes also called the Devil's Ray. Huge devilish rays were found as large as 17 feet (just over five meters), although Mantas can grow as large as almost 30 feet (just over nine meters). While Atlantic Devil Ray does not have a sharp spine in his tail, the giant devilish rays have such a spine and use it in self -defense.
