What is a drum stand?

Drum booth or drum cage is a type of sound insulating chamber used to control the volume of acoustic drums. In the recording studio settings, the drum stand can be a separate room, which was lined with acoustic damping materials such as acoustic foam, or it can be a closed chamber set to a larger room, which is usually made mainly from acrylic panels and some types of sound agreed. Sound cabins differ greatly in size and in the types of materials used. They can also be used to insulate vocals, amplifiers of devices and other loud musical instruments. The type of music played and the individual style of playing a drummer can cause the acoustic volume of the drum can be too loud to be properly recorded in the studio and also impress the instruments of other bands in a live performance. Live artists and drummers who want to practice the device without interference with homemade classmates or neighbors will have to use some sound damping devices.

The drum stand is sometimes called a drum shield or a drum screen, but these two terms often mean a partial sound shield that is open on at least one side or top, while the term drum stand means a fully closed chamber or room. Portable drum cabins and drum shields are usually made of acrylic panels and are most often used for live performances, but can also be used to record in a small or home studio. Acrylic panels are heavy and costly and sometimes ineffective when used without acoustic foam or other material of the damping sound.

Drum cabins come in the range of sizes and configurations to suit different sizes of drum sets. A number of different materials of damping sounds can be used to build a drum stand. Once the room is framed, whether by building a frame of wood or other solid material or using prefabricated panels, PAK can be acoustically treated with acoustic foam, thick blankets, heavy curtains, rugs or even foam pillows. The bass drum will require special attention, because low -frequency acoustics behaves differently than acoustics with a higher frequency and is more difficult to resist sound. Some drummers release pillows or folded blankets in their bass drums to help control both sound quality and volume output.
