Standard members of the flute transverse family are as follows, arranged from the lowest driven to the highest enthusiastic. Each variation has several octave. All of them are written more or less in the same place on the staff, but their sounding playgrounds are different. Note that there are two that extend the range down and two that extend it up.

There are also different pans, usually made of multiple pipes that are used to change the pitch rather than to use holes or keys.

Flute is used in the band and orchestra. In both files, one of the players usually doubles to Piccolo. The instrument is also a member of the wind ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble and Woodwind Quintet, in which he plays together with Clarinet, Oboe, Fagot and French Horn. This is also characteristic of trios and toWoodwind vartets, although they do not have solid membership, as the quintet Woodwind does.

flutes are the oldest category Woodwind. They were flutes as early as the ninth century BC. The basic design is a tube with a coating into which the player blows and holes for fingers to control the pitch. The modern instrument was developed in 1830 Theobald Boehm and includes its fingering. Flutes and piccolos were originally made of wood, but are now generally metal.

Flute has three parts: head joint holding a shop; body , which is the largest piece; and foot joint , which is the end of the tool. The famous parts of the flute include the first movement of Czech composer Antonin Dvořák Symphony No. 9 , "from the New World;" French composer Claude Debussy's l'Aprés-Midid'un faune ; and French composer Georges Bizet's Carmen , especially "overture to Act III". Paul Robeson, Jean-Pierre Rampal and James Galway are well-known flutists.
