What is Green Anole?
Green Anole, also known as the reddish -brown Anol, is a type of lizard common in the southeastern United States, from the Eastern Texas to South Virginia. Green Anol is usually about 5 to 8 inches (12 to 20 cm), while the woman is usually smaller. Their bodies are long and slim with a narrow head and pointed snouts. The tail can be up to twice as long as the main part of the body.
Green Anole has a pink "robot" or a flap of the skin that hangs from the neck. Dewp is shown by a man to attract women and on territorial displays to other men. These territorial displays are usually accompanied by head movements.
Green Anols have the ability to change their color from green to brown to gray. Colors vary depending on the mood, environment and health of birds. This characteristic resulted in the popular nickname "American Chameleon", although they are not true Ch.ameleons and their ability to change color are limited.
These lizards are usually found in bushes, trees and walls and fences. They require greenery, shady areas and humid environments. Their diet consists mainly of small insects and spiders that find and monitor movement detection. When trying to escape the predator, the green Anole often "drops" the tail in action known as autonomy. The tail remains twitching to distract the predator and allow Anol time to escape.
Green Anoli will join between the end of March and early October. The female lays individual eggs in wet soil, shrub and rotten wood. During the mating cycle, a woman can usually lay one egg every two weeks. The eggs are small with a leather look and hatch in about five to seven weeks.
Green Anols are common pets in the areas in which they are, and are generally considered to be a good first pet for beginners. Are cheap, easy to care and feed and are not so intolerant of minor temperature changes as they can bewho other reptiles. They are usually held as purely visual pets, because they do not like regularity.
As pets, men can be placed with as many women as healthy space allows, but men should not be accommodated together. The males are very territorial - if they are placed together, the dominant man will constantly attack and bother a smaller man until he dies. One man can even be provoked on territorial displays using a mirror to allow the lizard to see.
