What is the Halogen-CFL bulb?

Halogen-Cfl bulb is a relatively new type of bulb developed by General Electric (GE). It is called a hybrid bulb, which combines halogen technology and compact fluorescent (CFL) into one bulb. This is done in an effort to use the best of both technologies and eliminate some of the common complaints about energy -efficient bulbs. One of the primary advantages of the Halogen-CL bulb is that it provides bright light immediately, yet retains a high degree of energy efficiency. The shape of the halogen-CFL bulb is very similar to the shape of the traditional bulb light bulb, with a narrow base and a rounded bulb upper part. However, the interior is quite different from the bulb technology and in fact combines two newer technologies. When a hybrid bulb is turned on, it provides bright lighting using a halogen light source until the CFL part is heated and transported.

inside the outer cover of the Halogen-Cfl bulbIt is a compact fluorescent coil that is known for many. GE uses the smallest available coil; In the middle of the coil is a small halogen bulb. Both technologies cooperate on providing a light source that use much less energy than traditional bulbs, avoiding some disadvantage of newer lighting. Several examples of problems that customers had with energy -efficient lighting include incompatibility with some existing luminaires, heat generated by halogen, and a long amount of time to achieve full brightness.

Many standard CFL onions are not right in older light lights, leading to poorly fitting shades and covering or exposed coils that many people consider unattractive. GE using the outer cover and a small size compact fluorescent coil that allows the halogen-CFL bulb to fit correctly into the luminaires that were designed when bulbs were still commonly used. Halogen light sources provideBright light, but are also incompatible with older luminaires. Halogen generates a lot of heat and is not always considered safe due to the risk of fire. The halogen-CFL bulb solves this problem only by using halogen for a short time.

According to GE, one of the main advantages of the halogen-CFL bulb is the immediate availability of bright light as opposed to standard CFL bulbs. A typical CFL takes a while to reach full brightness; This was a common cause of customers' complaints. Hybrid halogen-CFL bulb uses light source of light to overcome this time delay; It provides immediate bright light at a time when CFL gradually reaches full brightness. Once fully illuminated, it takes over the CFL and the halogen turns off to save energy.
