What is the hardy geranium?

Hardy Geranium, scientifically known as Geranium , concerns the family of permanent and annual flowering shrubs in most regions of South Africa and the Mediterranean. Some of its species bear fruit, while others produce seeds only through their flowers. These plants are commonly used as greenhouse plants due to their ability to quickly convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. Other names of this family are Jolly Bee and Cranesbill, which relate to the appearance of Kero -shaped fruit. In this family, there are more than 200 species, most of which can be found growing in the mountains of subtropical areas. The stems are straight and woody and can reach a length of 2 to 4 feet (0.6 to 1.2 m). Fruit capsules on the tip of the stems, which eventually open and release a single seed. Not all types of resistant geraniums have these capsules, but all carry individual seeds from each flower. The seasons of spring and summer provide the most favorable conditions for the production of fruit and flowers.

Hardy Geranium is commonly used as an accent or cover plant for gardens because it is known that the shrub is growing rapidly through the middle backyard, even with minimal care. Conventional types of grown gardens include pretending to be in Pelargonium , Geranium Maderense and Geranium clarkei , all of which produce blue or purple flowers. Some types of butterflies and moths are very attracted to its fruit and flowers, making it a popular option for butterfly farms and insectarium. All three garden varieties reach a maximum height of approximately 2 feet (0.6 m).

Therod Pelargonium is commonly wrong with Hardy Geranium, because the term geranium is used as a common name for Pelargonium . These families belong to the same family Geraniaceae , but can distinguish them with flowers. BLOSSOMS OF HARDY Geranium have petals with uniform size, color and shape, while the other genus has flowers, that show more than one color and shape of the petal.

aromatic oils are also extracted from resistant leaves and flowers of geraniums. These oils are infused into perfumes and flavors that are widely sold and produced in countries such as India and Greece. Some cosmetic products, such as make -up and body lotion, also use the natural extracts of this herb.
