What is the dam?
Leavee is a natural or artificial flood bank that follows along a river or canal road. Naturally, they are formed when the river floods across the shore and sediment of deposits, causing banks to be higher than the floodplain. Barriers formed by man are formed to prevent floods, contain water flow and/or increase the speed of water.
Also known as a stop wall, dam, dam or storm, there is a dam along lakes, rivers or sea. Generally made of soil, some artificial dams are reinforced with rocks or concrete to prevent erosion. Sometimes they are also used as a military defense. There is no set height for such a barrier; The height usually is between 10 and 30 feet (3 to 10 m). An emergency dam, such as the one to be used in the event of a flood, can be created with sand birds.
In the southern and Mideswest areas of the US is a commonly used term. In Europe and Canada, this structure is most likely known as a dam. Altohough concepts oftenThey use interchangeably, the definitions are slightly different. In the Netherlands, the system of players drains flood water from large water bodies. Along the Mississippi River, the flood and stream floods are limited by the dam system. These barriers can also be referred to as a waterfront.
The dam fails to interrupt, also known as a violation. As part of the barrier, it tears, allows water to flow through the opening. Another type of failure occurs when water flows through the upper part of the structure. During the violation, it may also occur when cooking sand, which results in when the growing water pressure flows through the pores in the soil is stronger than the pressure of the soil pressure.
