What is a live workspace?

While the concept of working at home or telecommunications seems perfectly feasible, real practice has sometimes proved to be problematic. Either the worker must mark part of his traditional home as a functional office, or basically a basic living space must be created in the warehouse. Many rental agreements specifically prohibit tenants to use their personal units for any type of professional effort. One solution to this growing problem is the development of space for live work. The most common way to create space for live work is renovation of commercial lofts or warehouses, although some live work spaces are designed from zero. The attic or warehouse area is usually equipped with all the necessary plumbing, heating and electric tools needed for the private living space. The reasons are quite simple - artistic efforts such as sculpture and installation art require large work spaces but artificiallyc may want to live close to the project. Properly designed space for live work provides artists of house equipment and open studio space necessary to safely create and store finished work. While the commercial attic space has always been a hot commodity between the art community, the arrival of the living work was the concept of life near the project even more attractive.

There are still some problems that surround the phenomenon of space for the live workspace to be developed. Some city planning advice and licensing department are reluctant to approve the creation of residential areas in commercial zones or commercial use of a residential house. There is also a question of taxation, because the space for a living worker brings almost the same weight for every purpose. Is it considered a commercial business with a particularly nice office or residential building with the owner who telecommunications? Tenants of live jobs may have to prove their qualifications to occupy this type of hybrid officee/residential dwellings.
