What is mandolin?

Mandolin has eight strings arranged in four pairs and a rounded wooden shell. Within the Chiefdofon family, mandolin is a specific type of lute. The sound of the Cantifon devices comes from vibrating chains. Mandolin and its neighboring mandola and bouzoukis are qualified as Citterns because they are torn out as a guitar selection, rather than playing with a bow like a violin.

The mandolins are tuned as a violin because their chains are correlated with four chains of a smaller tool. In the Chiefdoophones, chains made of wire or tendons are suspended between two endpoints. The tone determines the distance and tautness between these anchoring points. The mandolin chains are tuned by Unisono and differ from another pair with a fifth of the remark. Some variations on mandolin are mandola, tuned fifth lower, Mandobass tuned as an upright bass and mandocello, tuned the whole octave under Mandolin.

Many phases changed mandolin from ancient lute to a modern American folk instrument. MesopotamiaKla as a hollow wooden bowl with strings called oud, which means "wood". Many European countries have adapted this simplest accordifone, adding chains, sleepers, extending or shortening strings and changing the shape of the body. Italy of the fifteenth century saw the rise of mandola, Italian for "Almond", the direct predecessor of Mandolin.

After the estate later, the Italians brought their beloved tool to America in the first and second wave of immigration in the 1930s and 80s. When a round variety, musician and manufacturer named Orville Gibson made significant changes to modernize relics. At the beginning of the 20th century, when Vaudeville and Jazz became popular musical forms, Gibson remodeled mandolin like American fun Back flattening, neck curvature, fingerboard adding and other innovations to learn. In salons and theaters all over the country, ordinary people approached the reinvented instrumentOji for evening entertainment. Even with the fall of the Vaudeville Theater at the age of 30, mandolins remained popular. Their unique sound is now associated with musical forms as diverse as jazz, land, folk, bluegrass, classic and even electric rock.
