What is a mute swan?

scientifically known as Cygnus olor , a muted swan is a type of swan that acquires its name by being much less noisy than most other types of swans. In addition to his territorial grunting and hissing, the deepest part of the thickened swan is caused when it flies. It belongs to the Anatidae family together with a number of other water poultry, such as goose and duck. These types of birds can be found in or around them, such as lakes and ponds, refreshments on nearby vegetation or swimming with her friend.

These swans are considered most monogamous because they tend to stick to the same partner for most of their lives. A man, called a class and a woman called a pen, also maintains the same nest every year if they do not believe that their home is at risk. When it is endangered, the COB stands on an aggressive display in an effort to chase all possible predators.

puts his neck and his head back and lifts his prig and hissing on the intruder. This display is called busking. Since the eggs are laid,Until young birds can fly, some parents can also go to attack other animals or even people to defend their nest.

nest -built muffin can be quite large, often measuring a diameter of about 4 feet (1.2 meters), but some were found much larger. The new nests are designed and the old nests are repaired in spring. These nests are usually a rough circle made of local vegetation, such as weeds, grass and reeds. They will usually be built on the ground, near a water source.

After a mute swan reaches three years of age, it is considered sexually mature and is ready for reproduction. The courtship rituals often start late in winter, usually around February. Then the female mute swan will lie anywhere from three to seven green colored eggs. The woman then incubate eggs by sitting on them while the man defends his family and nests. A little over a month after JSOU eggs laid, children's swans, referred to as Cygnes hatch.

cygnets are covered with gray downy material when they are born and stay so as long as it is. Their accounts and legs are dark gray. After about four months, most cygnets will start flying and after about six months they will finally leave the nest.

Adult mute swan looks very different from hatching. For one thing they are much larger, sometimes they grow up to 6 feet (183 centimeters) long. These swans can often be as high as the high F4feet (122 centimeters) with a wing that can reach up to 94 inches (240 centimeters). Males of the species are usually slightly larger than women and can weigh £ 25 (10.5 kilograms).

As it grows, the adult affected swan turns from the light gray to white. His beak turns from dark gray to bright orange, except for the black button on the base, directly in front of the forehead. As with most swan, a mute swan is known for its long, charming neck curved into the "with" shape, especially in swimming.

Mute Swan is originally from many parts of Asia and Europe. Over the years, it has become naturalized in other parts of the world, including the United States, after being introduced for ornamental purposes. In some parts of the United States, this swan is considered invasive species, mainly because of its aggressiveness and at the same time prevents it from nesting and young.
