What is Pentathlon?

Pentathlon is an athletic event in which competitors demonstrate their bravery in five disciplines. It was the basis of the ancient Greek Olympics and appears in a modernized form at the Olympic Games. Although events in classic and modern pentathlones are very different, as they test the perseverance and skill of the athlete, as well as the demonstration of properties that would be valuable to the soldiers. The winner of the event would be crowned with a laurel wreath to recognize its superiority as an athlete, and the term “laurels” is still used to indicate a high honor obtained by hard work.
