What is the saber?

Saber, the type of sword, have been made and used for centuries and their exact origin is unknown, although historians suspect that they may be related to the Middle East blades. Although no longer used in war, these blades often appear on the uniforms of military dresses as an indicator of rank and condition. The derivative of this sword is also used in sports fencing, although the real saber and fencing have a small similarity. The handle is also heavy and arched, protecting the joints and fingers of the hand. They were originally designed for cavalry members. During the 19th century, the saber was used in active war around the world, perhaps especially Napoleon soldiers. Saber, however, became such an iconic weapon that many militants have been preserved as a festive blade. Often it is possible to see saber exhibited in military shows and other formal events including members of the army, and according to tradition, many of these blades are sharp and fully usable.

Saber fence is quite different. They have a "v" or "y" blade and are light but strong. Like the traditional saber, the fencing version has the only tip and blows the side of the blade and the tip is acceptable interventions in competition. To prevent injury, the tip is bent and creates a button so that the blade bends when it comes into contact with someone rather than penetrating a person.

Because it blows with the side of the blade is acceptable when fencing saber, this style of fencing is distinctive and unique. People who practice this type of sports fencing tend to be extremely agile and use the range of movements to the corner of their opponents. The entire upper body is a permissible goal in this fencing, which allows people to score hits in different creative ways.
