What is the sea wall?

The sea wall is a structure that is designed to protect the coast from flood and erosion. Usually they are only one part of the larger Coast Defense system that is designed with several protection if one or more fails. Many visitors to the sea side are familiar with the concept of the sea wall, as well as the inhabitants of these regions. There are a number of different ways to build one, depending on the available materials and needs that they have to meet. The wave action can beat the wall without eroding the coast, although the structure itself eventually disintegrates and requires repair or replacement. Sea walls also help to isolate communities in front of floods, although high waves can still break most of the sea walls. It can also provide space for recreation, because the top is often flat, which allows people to walk or fish from it.

In some cases, the sea wall will be built on the coast to break high waves that could otherwise damage structures and withIlnice on the coast. In these cases, this may be preceded by several lower barriers to help break wave energy before the waves hit the wall. Other sea walls are built in the water right next to the coast, as is the case on many islands. Some nations also build them in open water to function as flood barriers and distract the waves before they reach the coast, and encourage them to gently break.

Many sea walls are curved, allowing waves against them and reducing their energy. Others are equal and are designed to stop the waves. It is not unusual that you bury the low hills of rubble in front of them to help to reduce the power of waves as they hit the shore. In the case of the sea wall, which is to withstand the flood, it can be quite high to be able to align the storm overvoltage.

Traditional sea walls are built of large rocks, pebbles and other debris; Some remains of ancient sea walls built in this style can be seen in many communityh. These materials can be made a modern structure, although it can also integrate concrete, metal bars and other tools to be robust. Cheaper sea walls can be made of wood and plastic that provide some protection, although they may potentially fail in heavy weather.
