What is the shower box?

Shower cover is a device that allows you to change the bathtub function to allow you to enjoy bath or shower. Shower attachments can be created using relatively simple materials or designed to require installation and sealing sections that completely box in the bathing area. Here are some examples of different patterns for shower cover.

One of the first types of shower cover created in recent decades included just a little more than some hardware, a little plumbing and using a shower. This simple approach was an ideal way to add the versatility of the old -fashioned tub of claws. Using pipes and water supply devices to trigger the climbing pipe upwards from existing faucets and at the top of the tube with the shower head it was possible to continue using the bathtub, if desired, but also enjoy the shower from time to time.

If you want to contain water flowing from the shower head, metal or woodpatten corresponding to the length and width of the bath wouldl suspended above the shower area. Adding curtain rings and shower curtains, which were long enough to hang in the tub, allowed this basic shower cover to effectively keep the water in the bath and far from the surrounding floor.

Over time, the bathtub design moved from free -standing models and more towards the bathtubs that were attached to the wall and floor in the recessed area of the bathroom. This led to the development of a shower cover that could fit the open side of the tub. Construction with a combination of metal frame with tempered glass or later years plexiglass would be attached to the wall and ceiling. The body of the shower cover would contain sliding shower doors, allowing the space to open when the bath was required, but close the shower.

Today, both types of shower covers are still commonly used. Lightweight bathtubs have been proposed in recent yearsIn order to include the fittings for the bathtub cover, they facilitate the mounting of the glass door through the open side or hanging the shower rod that holds the shower curtain. Since the bathtubs are sometimes designed to fit into the corner than with the traditional elongated design, the bathtubs that work well with these alternative bathtubs were also created.

It is also possible to design the order of the shower cover. This is often an attractive choice when the house owner plans to install a bathtub with unusual dimensions or suggests a bathroom to float the bath in the middle of the space. Adapted shower cover of this type can allow the input and output of the bath from more than one direction and may include elements of the general architecture of the room to achieve a more unified appearance.
